The pitch describes how high or low a note’s sound is. We will use a piano keyboard to understand this concept.

The set of horizontal lines that notes are written on is called the staff or the stave. We need to learn how to recognize notes on the staff, as well as how to draw them.

Benjamin Haley, BA
Benjamin comes from a musical family and has been immersed in music since early childhood. He is self-taught in dozens of instruments and musical styles, though his main focus is the classical guitar.
He has more than 10 years of experience teaching instruments and music theory.
